Sweet mouth was never only charm. It was communication of persuasion or attraction built by people who had very little else to work with. It moved goods. It settled disputes. It held rooms. Every culture has a name for it. This is ours. And somewhere along the way that same skill got studied, packaged, and sold back to us as marketing.
So the question this episode sits with is who benefits when we get sweet mouthed. And by whom.
